Hi, I’m Emily.
Whether you’re a first-time mom, a NICU mom, a mom of multiples like twins or triplets, or a fifth-time mom, I am here to support you during the early weeks and months after birth. This period, known as the Fourth Trimester, is a critical time when your baby adjusts to the world, and you and your family transition as well.
As a certified Postpartum Doula, I specialize in providing physical and emotional support, guidance on breastfeeding and bottle feeding, newborn care and behavior, light meal planning, and total family support. My mission is to nurture you with grace and discretion, helping you tap into your instincts to smoothly transition from what was, to what is. You will gain confidence, be heard, and feel supported, easing your healing and postpartum journey.
I have extensive experience with preemies, twins, triplets, NICU situations, and both breast and bottle feeding. More importantly, I understand firsthand what it’s like to have questions, face uncertainties, experience sleep deprivation, and need local support.

I found Emily’s listening ear and insight into newborns so helpful and comforting in those challenging early weeks.

About me
and Hope
I am a wife and mother, a former client director for Fortune 500 companies and a community volunteer. I am following my passion to serve you in this beautiful, vulnerable time. My dream of becoming a mom goes back as far as I remember, but the road to get there was bumpy.
My journey to motherhood included infertility, multiple miscarriages, assisted reproductive therapy, a traumatic birth, and an extended stay at the NICU with a preemie.
And then there was hope. I became a mom when our daughter Hope joined our family two months ahead of schedule in 2014. There are no words for the joy she brings to our family.

For the families. For the tender moments.
We couldn’t have enjoyed or appreciated our time with Emily any more than we did. She fit in seamlessly with our family, quietly finding helpful things to do around the house and always managing to attend to whichever child needed her most at that moment. After each session our children begged for her to come back soon. And so did I: even as a 5th time mother, I found Emily’s listening ear and insight into newborns so helpful and comforting in those challenging early weeks.

Emily provides an excellent doula service. She is very respectful of your time, your house and most of all your children.
I was able to take the best nap while she just loved on my triplets. The fact that I was able to take a nap in and of itself says a lot.
If you are in the market for a doula in the Raleigh/ durham/ chapel hill area 10/10 I would recommend. Parents of multiples she has experience with multiples!

Emily was a breath of fresh air during our postpartum journey! She was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about everything newborn related. It was a wonderful experience hiring her as our postpartum doula!

Even if the first few months with our newborn daughter felt like a blur, Emily truly helped us slow down and opened our eyes to all the resources available for us.
I really appreciate that she took the time to listen and understand our specific challenges. My wife has some severe joint problems and was worried her physical abilities would be a barrier to bonding with our baby.
Emily was so understanding and helped find adaptive solutions that worked for Michelle as well as connecting us with other experts with specialties for her specific concerns. During a time when the entire world seems focused on your littlest one, Emily was there to remind us to take care of ourselves.
It seems obvious, but it’s so hard to accept in the moment that we can’t be everything we want to as loving parents unless we are the healthiest, happiest versions of ourselves possible. Emily was always did everything she could to make sure my wife and I were at our best, and always in a way that was respectful of our values and privacy. Sometimes that was helping get a meal on the table and sometimes it was just listening to me rant about hospital staff. We both appreciate her so much and I’m sure you will as well!
